COSI ASAP

The Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE), through the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI), is supporting Colorado’s implementation of the City University of New York’s (CUNY) Accelerated Study in Academic Programs (ASAP), the Colorado programs are official replication sites and will launch the nationally recognized model shown to double graduation rates by combining comprehensive financial, academic, and personal support. Through the Colorado Partnership for Proven Initiatives and a multi-year philanthropic partnership, CDHE is supporting both associate and bachelor degree–seeking students.
Associate Degree (Fall 2025)
The ASAP associate degree program launched in fall 2025 at Lamar Community College and Colorado Mountain College. Over a three-year grant term, each institution will implement the program on its campus to increase associate degree completion by providing students with dedicated guidance and wraparound support. ASAP Colorado Mountain College
Bachelor’s Degree (Fall 2026)
The ASAP bachelor’s degree program will launch in fall 2026 at Adams State University and the University of Northern Colorado. Over a four-year grant term, each institution will implement the program on its campus to increase bachelor’s degree completion by ensuring students receive the dedicated guidance and support they need to succeed.
