About the Policy Review
The Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE) is conducting a comprehensive review of its policies from April 2026 through December 2027.
This process ensures policies remain current, aligned with statewide priorities, and responsive to the needs of students, institutions, and workforce partners.

How the Review Process Works
Each policy moves through a series of phases, from early concept development to Commission action.
Not all policies move at the same pace, and opportunities for engagement vary by phase.

- Phase 0 – Charter Adoption (Complete)
What this phase means: CCHE adopted the shared rules that guide how policies will be reviewed throughout the process.

What’s happening: CCHE committees review concept memos and set direction before drafting begins.
