AI-Engaged Campus Designation

About the Designation
Artificial intelligence is reshaping how our students learn, how our faculty teach, and how our graduates enter the workforce. Many of our institutions of higher education are already building AI literacy, preparing faculty, and connecting students to the AI-enabled economy. This designation exists to celebrate that work, to guide institutions seeking a roadmap, and to set an aspirational standard for what responsible, student-centered AI engagement looks like in higher education.
The designation is built on six pillars: AI Literacy in the Curriculum, Faculty Preparedness & Development, Institutional AI Policy, Workforce & Community Connection, Equity & Ethics Integration, and Institutional AI Integration. Institutions must demonstrate meaningful engagement across four of the six pillars to earn recognition.
This designation joins our growing family of campus recognitions that celebrate institutions leading with intention, equity, and innovation.
