-
If you would like to file a complaint against an approved Colorado private occupational school, please go to www.ColoradoETPL.org and click "Submit a DPOS Complaint" to get started.
IMPORTANT!! PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU FILE: If you have a complaint (that is not about a diploma mill), please be advised that according to statute, the Division of Private Occupational Schools may only accept an electronically filed complaint from an individual who was denied enrollment; is a current student; or is a former student of a private occupational school that is approved to operate in Colorado.
If you are a former student, the Division may only process a complaint provided not more than two (2) calendar years have passed since you last attended the school that is the subject of the complaint. Under very limited circumstances, a third-party, who can show a monetary interest, in a matter involving a current or former student of a private occupational school (i.e. parent or legal guardian) may also be able to file a complaint.
- Report an Unauthorized School
-
To report a school or education provider that may be illegally operating in the state of Colorado without the required authorization, go to www.ColoradoETPL.org and click "Submit a DPOS Complaint" to get started.
- Frequently Asked Questions about DPOS Connect
-
What is DPOS Connect?
DPOS Connect is the IT system that will be used by both DPOS staff and private occupational school users to process applications, fees, changes and required record-keeping and annual filings.
How does it work?
Approved private occupational schools will have at least one user assigned to have access to the school’s information housed within DPOS. That user will log in to the system and access the school’s information.
Why is the state transitioning to a new system?
Utilizing an electronic system vs. the old paper system is a more efficient and effective method to process applications and maintain important records.
How will this impact my school?
Each school will need to have at least one assigned user. This user will access the system and use it to submit renewal, agent and program applications that are currently submitted in paper form through the mail. This should be a more efficient process for the schools.
What is the benefit to the state?
This system allows access to applications in a more efficient manner in that applications cannot be submitted until they are complete with all required attachments. This will reduce the amount of time spent going back and forth between the school and DPOS to ensure all of the information is submitted for an application prior to processing it.
What is the benefit to my school?
A reduction in printing and mailing costs. Schools have access to their certificates and approval letters as well as information regarding programs and courses as they are approved by the Board.
How will students be impacted by the new system?
Students will not have access to the new system. They will get the end benefit in that the new system cuts costs and is more efficient and accurate.
Who do I contact if I have feedback or questions?
Schools should reach out via email to DPOS.Success@dhe.state.co.us if they have any feedback or questions.
