Earning a postsecondary credential of value remains a critical investment for Coloradans and for meeting workforce demands

DENVER – Dec. 5, 2023: Today the Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE), released its annual Return on Investment Report, which helps students, families and Coloradans better understand the value of earning a degree or certificate. Now in its fifth iteration, the report reaffirms that completion of postsecondary education yields significant benefits for individuals and families.

Colorado Open Educational Resources Grant Program seeks proposals

DENVER – Oct. 5, 2023: The Colorado Commission on Higher Education is soliciting proposals for grants designed to expand the use of open educational resources (OER) across public postsecondary institutions in the state. The OER grant program is in its sixth year and will award $1 million this grant cycle to award at least $500,000 toward Zero Textbook Cost degree initiatives.

Colorado Department of Higher Education approves technical assistance grant projects totaling more than $400,000 to build out stackable credentials

DENVER – Sept. 7, 2023: The Colorado Department of Higher Education recently awarded more than $400,000 in technical assistance grants to 11 institutions of higher education. Institutions applied to receive a Colorado Credential Pathways Technical Assistance Grant to support the development of high-quality stackable credential pathways leading to high-value occupations.

Colorado Department of Higher Education Provides Notice of Data Incident

DENVER – Aug. 4, 2023: The Colorado Department of Higher Education (“CDHE”) is providing notice of a cybersecurity incident that may involve the personal information of certain individuals. CDHE is providing information about the measures it has taken in response to the incident, and steps impacted individuals may take to protect themselves against possible misuse of information.
