Please note: The use of the index in admission was retired starting fall 2019. This calculator is left in place for historical reference only and is not maintained.
Each four-year institution has an index score requirement for admission of new and transfer students. This index score is a quantitative evaluation that is part of a larger student application evaluation. Note: Index Score is not the only requirement for admission!
For new applicants, the index score is calculated using a combination of a student's high school GPA or high score rank percentage combined with ACT or SAT score. For transfer students, acceptance is calculated based on transfer GPA.
*SAT reformatted their exams in 2016. An SAT taken March 2016 and after has a different format and scoring than an SAT taken previously. As such, the date you took the SAT will impact the calculation of your index score.
