In an effort to improve access to information content about higher education, the Department of Higher Education's new website has been reorganized. Almost all of the content has been categorized into five new sections:
By selecting one of these categories, you will be just clicks away from the information you are seeking. Whether you are a freshman in high school planning your future, high school graduate applying for a grant to help pay for college, institutional staff or faculty, or simply a member of the general public inquiring about higher education policy and staffing, this website will provide answers to your questions or point to the person or website with the answers.
Several new and dynamic features are available including an enhanced publications section with Policies & Procedures and a Press Room. In Data & Reports, we have reformatted and reorganized our reports and developed an online searchable database for student enrollment and degree data for public institutions. Students can now calculate their index score and view specialized material for applying to college and obtaining financial aid.
When you find your answers, they will be provided in standardized formats for viewing. For your convenience, documents are in HTML or Adobe PDF
formats. In a few cases, original documents are available in Microsoft Word
or Microsoft Excel
formats. Web pages containing content have several new utilities available for convenient extraction and communication:
Print only what you want! The print utility allows you to print your web page without buttons and navigation, thereby giving more room to content, and saving paper.
Refer to a friend or colleague! The email utility allows you to send the address of a page you are reviewing to someone with your comments. If you have found an answer to a question you know that others have, you can deliver the answer with a few strokes on the keyboard.
Become an editor! Agree, disagree, or find a typo? Send your comments about a page to us. Addresses change, schedules change, even policies change. If you find outdated information, please let us know!
We hope the Department's new website provides you access to the information you seek, quickly. If something does not satisfy your appetite for information, please let us know.
Thank you for visiting the Department of Higher Education!
