HB1023 requires that institutions report on the verification of lawful presence, of a student, to the state. Each institution submits a "Verification" file that reports, by student ID, whether or not a student was verified, not verified, or requested a waiver.
The Verification Query File is a file that allows Colorado institutions to compare unverified students at their institution to see if they have been verified elsewhere. A query file cohort may contain just a few students or an entire enrollment cohort. Regardless of the cohort, it will be compared to all of the HB1023 Verification data and return a report, by SSN, of those verified.
